Message The efficiency of the hot side can have a big impact on back pressure, which changes the engine volumetric efficiency.

The GT3071-WG essentially uses a clipped turbine wheel to fit inside the T25 turbine housing. The T3 GT3071 uses a 60mm turbine wheel. This wheel is clipped to 56.5mm to fit inside the T25 housing.

The EFR series turbines are supoposedly very efficient and very well matched to the compressor wheel, which reduces back pressure. I'm told EFR turbos run a 1:1 ratio of boost to exhaust back pressure through the intended boost range, but I don't know this first hand. Garretts run 1.6:1 to 3:1 from what I hear from the guys at SZ.

It is a monster of a turbo...it remains to be seen if it will fit or not. Custom WG brackets will also be required.
